Where do you come from? I'm originally from the Sunshine Coast, Coolum Beach. But then moved out west of Byron to be closer to the band as the other members lived in Byron. But I now live an hour south of Coffs Harbour and the band has spread along the east coast of Australia and one member in London.

Who are Cupid & the Stupids, how did you form?  Cupid and The Stupids (also known as C.A.T.S) are a (atm) 6 piece rock n roll, love song band based in Australia. 3 of the band members were in a band called Israeli chicks and wanted to change their name and gradually Cupid And The Stupids were born, slowly increasing in numbers. The funnest group of people, I freaking love playing gigs with the band. 

You’re not just a musician, but an artist, jeweller, business owner, surfer, what can’t she do! What are your influences, where did all of this creativity come from? I'm finding new influences everyday and am always growing and learning. I just innately love creating, it's what I live for. 

C.A.T.S are playing Across the Punt this weekend between Lulie Tavern & The Gem Bar, what are the major differences between playing a local northern NSW gig verse Melbourne Show? I'm excited to play at the Across the Punt festival this weekend! I love playing gigs in Melbourne cause there's so many creative people around and amazing bands playing, i get so pumped and inspired. It's different to playing at Byron cause there's so many new faces. And i'm also often surround by surf culture and love being in Melbourne City as it's got nothing to do with surfing or anything.

Who are you most excited about seeing at Across the Punt? I'm most excited to watch Gee Tee, I love their music. But excited to see all the bands as i haven't seen them before. 

The band had a huge year last year, how was the Grinspoon Tour? The tour with Grinspoon was so fun! All the venues were amazing, but we'd only be like playing to 50 people in these massive venues. Was so funny. I was sad when the tour ended cause we wouldn't play again until this gig in Melbourne. We're gonna have a practice the day before, that's kinda how we roll these days. 

What’s next for the band? I'm not sure what's next. I think we'll play the odd gig here and there and hopefully catch up to do some recording every now and then. It's tricky now to keep the flow going as 1 person lives in Byron, 1 in Broadwater, my brother and I live south of Coffs and Slove and Sophie in Melbourne. But i know we've all written a couple new songs that we'd love to record sometime. 

We are gonna have some C.A.T.S merchandise for sale at the gig, some records and tshirts.
